This is the story of Jung Seung-Chul, a North Korean defector. What first could be the portrait of an introverted looser becomes slowly the painful portrait of a person trying to make an honest living in South Korea.

The movie speaks about judgment, indifference, obsession, mishaps, attachment, life and death. And after the 127 minutes following Jung Seung-Chul in his misadventures, one is left alone with sadness and anger. The last title tells us that the story is based on real experiences of Jung Seung-Chul, a friend of the director Park Jung-Bum, that died less than 6 years after he defected to South Korea.

Director : Jung-Bum Park (South Korea, 2010)
